COVID-19 Testing Center

Every year, between October and May, Americans become susceptible to the seasonal flu. This year, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has warned of a more serious outspread of the flu, telling Americans to get vaccinated for both the flu and COVID-19.

The flu season is here and the symptoms of the season flu are very similar to those of the COVID-19 virus. Both are contagious respiratory illnesses although they are caused by different virus strains – COVID-19 (caused by SARS-CoV-2) which has proven to be a far more serious and fast-spreading virus which is highly contagious.

Both season flu virus and COVID-19 virus share these symptoms:

  1. Cough
  2. Fatigue
  3. Loss of appetite
  4. Loss of taste/smell
  5. High temperature
  6. Experience of chills
  7. Sore throat
  8. Runny or stuffy nose
  9. Headaches
  10. Body aches
  11. Shortness of breath
  12. Diarrhea

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms and have been involved in any of the following scenarios, it becomes important to get tested for COVID-19 immediately to determine if you have the flu or have contracted the COVID-19 virus:

  • If you have travelled either domestically or internationally in the past few days
  • If you suspect that you may have interacted with a COVID positive individual in the past few days
  • If you have attended a large gathering or a public event in the recent past

Integra Urgent Care is COVID-19 Testing Center in the Dallas/Fort Worth-area with walk-in medical clinics in Las Colinas, Weatherford, and Grand Prairie. Each of our three urgent care clinic locations provides the following COVID-19 tests:

COVID-19 / Diagnostic Testing

We offer several COVID-19 diagnostic tests that your healthcare provider will review with you based on your individual condition and circumstance. These tests are considered extremely accurate in indicating a current infection, and nose or throat swabs are used to collect samples. Results vary based on the specific test administered although are usually expected anywhere between 24 and 48 hours. For those with healthcare insurance plans, our team will provide guidance if any charges will be incurred for a COVID-19 test in advance. We offer self-pay rates for our COVID-19 diagnostic testing, so please the Integra Urgent Care clinic nearest you for more information, current testing rates, or to schedule an appointment online.

COVID-19 / Antibody Testing

If you want to determine if you have recently contracted the virus but were asymptomatic, a COVID-19 Antibody test will help in determining that. If you suspect an exposure to COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks, you can choose an immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody test to confirm as these COVID-19 antibody tests detect antibodies that the body has produced in response to an infection in the past 2 weeks.
